چکیده

This article describes thermal input/concentration output systems processed by chemical reactions. Various sophisticated inputs can be converted into concentration outputs through the double-helix formation of helicene oligomers exhibiting hysteresis. The include high or low temperature, cooling heating state, slow fast and history. basis for properties reactions includes reversibility out equilibrium, sigmoidal relationship kinetics, bistability involving metastable states, positive feedback self-catalytic reactions, competitive fine tunability parallel processing. interfacing in other is considered, biological cells are considered to have been utilizing such input/output

Multiple competing pathways for chemical reaction: drastic reaction shortcut for the self-catalytic double-helix formation of helicene oligomers.

Competition among multiple pathways in a chemical reaction exhibits notable kinetic phenomena, particularly when amplification by self-catalysis is involved. A pseudoenantiomeric 1 : 1 mixture of an aminomethylene helicene (P)-tetramer and an (M)-pentamer formed enantiomeric hetero-double helices B and C in solution when random coil A was cooled. When a solution of A at 70 °C was directly coole...

Semiclassical approximations for the calculation of thermal rate constants for chemical reactions in complex molecular systems

Two different semiclassical approaches are presented for extending flux correlation function methodology for computing thermal reaction rate constants, which has been extremely successful for the ‘‘direct’’ calculation of rate constants in small molecule (;3 – 4 atoms) reactions, to complex molecular systems, i.e., those with many degrees of freedom. First is the popular mixed quantum-classical...

Quantum instanton approximation for thermal rate constants of chemical reactions

A quantum mechanical theory for chemical reaction rates is presented which is modeled after the #semiclassical !SC"$ instanton approximation. It incorporates the desirable aspects of the instanton picture, which involves only properties of the !SC approximation to the" Boltzmann operator, but corrects its quantitative deficiencies by replacing the SC approximation for the Boltzmann operator by ...

Speeding chemical reactions by focusing.

We present numerical results for a chemical reaction of colloidal particles which are transported by a laminar fluid and are focused by periodic obstacles in such a way that the two components are well mixed and consequently the chemical reaction is speeded up. The roles of the various system parameters (diffusion coefficients, reaction rate, and obstacles sizes) are studied. We show that focus...
